Dubrovnik airport

Dubrovnik is an urban center situated around Dalmatia in Croatia. Its population used to be 42,615 inhabitants in step with census data from 2011 census. Dubrovnik is nicknamed “Pearl of the Adriatic” it is one of the most prestigious centers in the Adriatic.

A high wall surrounds Dubrovnik. The walls of Dubrovnik dated back to the tenth century but was rebuilt in the seventeenth century. Dubrovnik Airport is a medium sized airport in Dubrovnik, Croatia. It is an international airport with more than 1.6 million passengers a year. Dubrovnik airport is located about 20 km south of the old town of Dubrovnik and 6 km from Cavtat. Dubrovnik Airport is one of the busiest airport in Croatia and it’s about 601 kilo meters away from the country’s capital, Zagreb.

Now at Dubrovnik airport, there is only one terminal at the airport, and it serves both international flights, as well as domestic flights. However, a new terminal will be built in 2017. The project will be funded by the European bank. The new terminal will be 36,500 square meters, with four jet bridges; The new terminal will have a capacity of 3.5 million passengers a year. As soon as the terminal is completed, it will be the largest terminal in the whole of Croatia as a country.

Taxis are available on the sidewalk of the airport, just outside the airport terminal building.
There is a parking space available for about 200 cars at the airport in Dubrovnik, the first 15 minutes of parking at the airport is free. Each additional hour is 2-3 kuna. If you lose your parking ticket, it will cost you around 300 kunas to get another. If you want to leave your car for a longer period, it will cost 40 kunas the first day and 48 kunas every other day.
